This section considers the changes that are impacting upon the modern labour market and how they affect us as individuals. You will be encouraged to think strategically about how you can deal with large-scale change and how to turn it to your advantage.

This type of strategic thinking – dealing with the big issues of the day – is never easy. But even if we only get a few general insights on the direction we should be heading towards, or a few ideas about actions we need to take, the process will have been worthwhile.
