Exercise - uniqueness

This exercise asks you to put yourself into an imaginary scenario.
You have applied for a job for which you are a strong candidate – you meet all the basic requirements and have all the transferable skills. If it was a race and there was betting, you would be the favourite.
The other candidates know this and in fact have based their applications on yours so as to offer the same general skills and qualities as you. If you like to think of it this way, they have cloned their application from yours, and made themselves seem as much like you as possible.
Here’s the question: given that all the other candidates have modelled their applications on yours, what can you now offer that’s unique to mark yourself out from them?
How can you differentiate yourself from these clones? What’s better about you as an applicant than them?
Or to put it another way – what can you now reveal that may not be apparent from the general information you put on your application form?
Brainstorm possible answers in your workbook. Put down as many ideas as you can think of.
