A checklist of requirements

A second list will be useful in this process – a checklist of what is important to us to evaluate what we will research. With this, will be researching with a purpose – to evaluate possibilities against some of our own criteria.

You may already have a good idea of your criteria – the desirable features of any work you may go into. But use the page in the workbook to list what is important to you to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything.
Look back to what you did in these sections:

What were the key features of work I wanted to change? (section 3)

What did I learn about myself and my own needs? (section 4)

What was relevant from the new ways of working and studying? (section 5)

Make a list in the workbook.

Use this list to evaluate each possibility you follow up. Ask yourself how much it will meet the requirements you have identified.

The next sections give some useful start points for researching jobs, study and self-employment. Use them to find the information you need for your evaluation.
